CARE AND CLEANING OF INTERIOR WINDOW FILM

Your home or business has added protection with window film. With some care your window film will look great for decades. Caring for your window film is easy.

First, do not wash the film for 30 days after the installation. Note: Visual changes during this time are a natural part of the bonding process. It may take up to 60 days for the film to fully cure. Small water spots will diminish and eventually disappear.

You can use any cleaner or tools to clean the film; just nothing abrasive. For best results, use a soft cotton cloth, terry cloth or sponge or window washing wand. A mild soap works best. Baby shampoo is ideal because it is neutral pH. Use 3 or 4 drops per quart or 12-16 drops per gallon of water. We really like Unger Pro Concentrated Glass Cleaner available at Home Depot and many other stores for around $7. Avoid using any abrasive cleaners or industrial strength glass cleaner.

To remove paint or Scotch Tape, use WD40 or use a 3M WHITE scrub pad, warm water, soap, and gentle scrubbing. If necessary, use a citrus based solvent to remove paint.
